Faculty

Jennifer Glaze – began her ballet training with Ruth Mitchell Dance Company.  She continued her studies with Houston Ballet Academy and The American Ballet Theater.  In 1987 she joined Louisville Ballet, dancing many lead roles.  Joining Boston Ballet in 1994, she was promoted soloist in 1995.  Currently she is the Ballet Mistress and assistant principal of Boston Ballet’s Summer Dance Program.

 

David Storey – Broadway performer in “Peter Pan” with Sandy Duncan and the origional cast of “42nd Street”.  David worked with the late Lee Theodore with American Dance Machine in New York.  His Jazz/Modern classes were always popular at STEPS and Broadway Dance Center in New York City.  David is currently teaching & setting choreography for the Dallas Dance Theatre.

 

Nicolas Pacana  - the co-artistic director of Atlanta Festival Ballet, resident company for Festival Ballet School in Stockbridge, Georgia.  He was the principal male dancer for Atlanta Ballet for 11 years, after making his professional debut with Honolulu City Ballet, and as a soloist with Boston Ballet.

 

Maiqui Manosa – began her training in the Phillipines under her mother, Inday Gaston Manosa.  She joined the Atlanta Ballet in 1980, and as a principal dancer performed many featured roles.  For 4 years she was the principal teacher with the Rock School of Pennnsylvania Ballet.  Ms. Manosa currently travels the world staging ballets.

 

Winthrop Corey – artistic director of The Mobile Ballet Company and summer faculty member of The Joffrey Ballet School in New York.  He holds the distinction of having been a principal dancer with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The National Ballet of Canada.

 

Ruth Mitchell – studied in New York at the School of American Ballet and appeared in numerous Broadway Shows.  She also studied with Madame Preobrajenska in Paris and also performed with the Ruth Paige’s Les Ballets Americans Company in Chicago.  She founded her own studio in 1956 and taught at regional festivals and dance conventions.  Ruth continues to teach at The Dancer’s Studio / Backstage and the Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education.

 

Casey Noblett – growing up in a dance school environment, her training includes The North Carolina School of the Arts, Broadway Dance Center, STEPS on Broadway, The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles and The National Dance Institute in New York City.  From stage to television to Disneyland in Tokyo to touring productions, Casey brings a wealth of performing experiences to her students.
